T.O.D.A.Y.S. Youth Services accepts individuals without regard to race, religion, creed, national origin, sex or social/economic background. No children will be denied admission based on their race, religion, creed, social /economic background, national origin, or physical and mental disability. We serve individuals who are neglected, abused, handicapped and those having emotional and behavior disorders.
T.O.D.A.Y.S. Youth Services is licensed through the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. T.Y.S. services the Central Virginia Area. T.O.D.A.Y.S. Youth Services provides short term, mental health, community- based services to aid clients in the achievement of their individual goals.
Admission is based on the following needs of the youth and families:
Clients who may need out of home placement or foster care placement due to inability to maintain appropriate and acceptable behavior in the home, school or community.
Clients with family issues such as abuse/neglect by parental figures that may lead to out of home placement.
Clients who are already in out of home placements, and may need additional therapeutic support to maintain that placement.
Clients returning to the community from secure environments such as detention, residential treatment and group homes.
Clients who may need assistance and guidance in gaining independent living skills.
Applicants may be interviewed at their place of residence. In the event (TYS) is unable to provide services, alternate placement help is available. If you have more questions regarding the admissions process you may email, print, fax, or mail a referral/in-take form to the appropriate TYS location.
